What: The North Shore Committee Gift of Adoption Illinois Chapter invites you to their 10th Anniversary Event. Catering is by The Noodle and Depot Nuevo. Valet parking available.

What: The office will be open special hours to welcome visitors to two Waukegan events. The 10th Annual Juneteenth Conference and Festival will be celebrated from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at 565 Powell Avenue. ArtWauk, held in Waukegan every third Saturday of the month from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, features local art exhibits and vendors. Click here for a map of the participating galleries and restaurants. Don’t forget to check out the Community Garden at 35 S. Genesee St. to enjoy the gazebo, statues and lakefront view.

What: The 41st Annual Democratic Women Convention will feature Rebecca Sive as Keynote Speaker. A political consultant and adviser to Democratic Presidents and women leaders, Rebecca is the author of the forthcoming book, Every Day is Election Day: A Woman’s Guide to Winning Any Office, from the PTA to the White House. The day-long convention brings together and provides training for Democratic activists from all parts of Illinois who will work together to build a stronger Democratic Party and to elect Democrats from the Courthouse to the White House in future elections.
