Post Session Town Hall Meeting

When:  Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:00pm

Where:  Lincolnwood Community Center, 4170 Morse Ave., Lincolnwood

What:  State Senator Ram Villivalam will provide updates from the past legislative session in Springfield and answer constituent questions. Topics include minimum wage, recreational cannabis, the statewide capital plan, the fair tax and more.  Constituent services will also be available.

March with Brad Schneider at the Waukegan Independence Day Parade

When:  Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 12:30pm (line up time); 1:00pm (step off time)

Where:  304 N. Sheridan Rd. in  Waukegan (line up #25 – near this address)

What:  All are welcome  The parade route starts at Sheridan Road and Franklin Street and follows Sheridan Road north to Bowen Park.  Parking lots near 220 N. Sheridan Rd.

Road Trip to Racine

When: Sunday, June 30, 2019; meet-up from  12:00 -1:00pm; canvassing voters from 1:00 to 4:00 pm; optional dinner from 4:30-7:00pm

Where: Racine County Democratic Party Offices, 507 6th St., Racine, WI 53403

What:  Help Democrats win Wisconsin!  Volunteers will talk to voters.  Carpools are being arranged. Email info@vernontownshipdems.com if you are planning on driving by yourself and can drive others, or need a ride to Racine.  Those who are interested can meet at The Higgins Hob Nob (277 Sheridan Road), an authentic Wisconsin supper club, at 4:30.  Dinner, appetizers, and drinks are available for purchase. Sam Yingling Invites You to a Free Warren Township Property Tax Workshop

When:  Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 7:00pm

Where:  Warren Township Center, 17801 W. Washington St. in Gurnee

What: Warren Township Property Tax Workshop with Rep. Yingling. The Warren Township Assessor will lead a seminar explaining the assessment process, as well as answer questions on how you can appeal your property assessment.  Bring your latest tax bill and a valid state ID or driver’s license to this workshop for advice from experts on filing an appeal.

Ending Gun Violence: Community and Legislative Solutions

When:  Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 7:00 – 8:30pm

Where:  Lindenhurst Village Hall, 2301 Sand Lake Road in Lindenhurst

What:  Indivisible Western Lake County,  Illinois Council against Handgun Violence, and Speak for Safety Illinois will discuss how you can help end gun violence in your community.  There will be two 30-minute presentations followed by a Q&A.
