Tenth Dems Community Connection Office: Visit and Volunteer

When: Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm

Where: Tenth Dems Community Connection, 118 N. Genesee St., Waukegan

What: The office will be open special hours to welcome visitors to two Waukegan events. The 10th Annual Juneteenth Conference and Festival will be celebrated from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at 565 Powell Avenue. ArtWauk, held in Waukegan every third Saturday of the month from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, features local art exhibits and vendors. Click here for a map of the participating galleries and restaurants. Don’t forget to check out the Community Garden at 35 S. Genesee St. to enjoy the gazebo, statues and lakefront view.

The Community Connection welcomes new volunteers. Email us if you can sign up for a shift on Saturday.
