What: If you are interested in the literary arts, you would be the perfect complement to the Annual Poetry/Prose project committee. The Third Annual Community Connection Poetry Slam and Awards Night for high school students needs volunteers to help process student submissions, plan the award night and enlist sponsors for the event. Donations of postage are desperately needed.

What: The Community Garden Project will encompass growing and harvesting the food to be used in economical and nutritional meals as part of our healthy cooking classes for local families. We need mentors, gardeners, cooks and nutritionists, and are seeking donations of gardening and cooking tools. We need lots of volunteers to help with planning, collecting tools and much more.
