What: The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) Jewish Studies Program will present a public lecture by Tobias Brinkmann, the Malvin and Lea Bank Associate Professor of Jewish Studies and History at Penn State University. The subject is the relationship between Jewish garment workers in Chicago and their Jewish employers and is titled: “Compassionate Capitalism? A New Look at the 1910/11 Chicago Garment Workers Strike.” The public is invited.

Prof. Green is Chairman of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Director of the Institute for Politics and Arthur Rubloff Professor of Policy Studies at Roosevelt University.
