Events: Rep. Carol Sente and Illinois Attorney General’s Office Hold Senior Fraud Prevention Seminar

Where: Vernon Hills Park District, Laschen Community Center, 294 Evergreen Dr., Vernon Hills

What: Rep. Sente will be partnering with the Attorney General’s Office to offer a free Senior Fraud Prevention Seminar. Seniors can be targeted by scammers who seek to take advantage of their kindness and rob them of their hard-earned savings. This seminar will help empower seniors to fight back and protect themselves by equipping them with the tools they need to effectively identify and report fraudulent behavior.

Events: NCPSSM and Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans National Day of Action

Where: Meet at the corner of Dearborn and Jackson, Chicago

What: The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare (NCPSSM) and the Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans, advocates for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, will rally to deliver the message of the importance of Social Security and saving the three programs from harmful cuts.
