Events: League of Women Voters Candidate Debate in Lake Bluff

When: Sunday, March 3, 2013, Doors open 1:00 pm, Candidates debate from 1:30 – 4:00 pm

Where: Lake Bluff Recreation Center, 355 E. Washington Ave., Lake Bluff

What: The League of Women Voters – Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area and the American Association of University Women will hold a debate for candidates running for Lake Bluff Library, Lake Bluff Trustee, and Lake Bluff School District 65. The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, sponsors this event as a service to the community. It neither endorses nor opposes candidates for public office.

Events: Illinois Choice Roe v. Wade 40th Anniversary Spanish Language Film Showing

When: Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 4:00 pm

Where: Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, 800 S. Halsted, Chicago

What: Illinois Choice Action Team will be screening the Spanish Language version of Dorothy Fadiman’s “La Maternidad por Elección, No por Obligación.” The stories are drawn from “The Abortion Rights Trilogy,” and cover the history of the struggle for women’s reproductive rights in the United States.
