What: Uniting America, HACES (Hispanic American Community Education and Services, Inc.) and the cities of North Chicago and Waukegan invite you to join them for a day of community service. Help clean up 10th Street, then celebrate with music and food. Children are welcome. The event is free and all materials needed for the cleanup will be supplied.

What: The League of Women Voters – Lake Forest/Lake Bluff is hosting a reception with the five new legislators. Congressman Brad Schneider, State Senator Julie Morrison, State Representative Scott Drury, County Board Member Mike Rummel (Lake Forest/Knollwood) and County Board Member Sandy Hart (Lake Bluff) will each speak briefly and then be available to chat. Enjoy complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres while appreciating the art exhibit on view.
