Events: Women for Quinn Day of Action

When: Saturday, September 27, 2014

What: Join women leaders and elected officials across Illinois as we help reelect Governor Pat Quinn, a leader who has been an advocate for women in health, home, and the community. The day of action will focus on campaigning door to door and speaking to voters about this race!

Where:

10:00 am with Rep. Rita Mayfield. Meet at Tenth Dems Community Connection Office, 118 N. Genesee St., Waukegan.

10:00 am, 960 Harris Rd., Unit 1B, Grayslake.

10:00 am with Hon. Laura Murphy, Maine Township Committeewoman. Meet at The White Eagle Country Club, 6839 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.

1:00 pm with Rep. Elaine Nekritz. Meet at Wheeling Township Democratic Headquarters, 1310 W. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.

Events: HP Historical Preservation Commission and HP Historical Society “Seyfarth Month”

When: Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm

Where: Highland Park Public Library, Lower Level, 494 Laurel Ave., Highland Park

What: The City of Highland Park’s Historical Preservation Commission and the Highland Park Historical Society will launch “Seyfarth Month” with a display of archives and a video. The month-long project will showcase the design work of architect Robert E. Seyfarth and continues with a lecture and panel discussion on Sunday, October 19 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Events: LWV Wilmette, Glenview and Evanston Candidate Forum for 17th District State Representative

When: Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 10:00 – 11:00 am

Where: Wilmette Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave., Wilmette

What: The League of Women Voters of Wilmette, Glenview and Evanston will sponsor a Candidate Forum with 17th District State Representative candidates Rep. Laura Fine and Kathy Myalls. Learn the views of these candidates on important issues currently facing Illinois.
