You are invited to join the Gift of Adoption Fund Illinois aboard the Mystic Blue Cruise Ship. Dining, dancing, and drinking with friends will raise money towards the adoption of Yoseph and Lydia, two Ethiopian orphan siblings. Included are appetizers, dinner and dessert; DJ and dancing; wine, beer and soda. Cash bar will be available for those 21 and over.

What: Illinois Water TrailKeepers is holding the 3rd Annual Clean Up of Des Plaines River to clear waterways and clean up trash found in and along the shoreline. Breakfast, snacks and all supplies are provided.
Locations are Allison Woods, Forest Preserve District of Cook County, west side of Milwaukee Ave., between Lake Ave. and Palatine Rd., Northbrook; On-water clean-up for Paddling Club members and other highly experienced paddlers; and Ryerson Woods to Cahokia Woods, Forest Preserve District of Lake County, meet at Riverwoods Village Hall, 300 Portwine Rd.

What: Join State Representative Sam Yingling and friends to help kick off Sam’s reelection campaign at the Second Annual Have a Yuengling with Yingling! Tickets are $25, include 2 beers and food.

What: The 14th Annual Waukegan Township Walk for Seniors invites you to walk, bike or run. Participants raising $25 or more in pledges will receive a commemmorative Walk for Seniors T-Shirt. At the close of the race, the victory celebration will be in Victory Memorial Park with awards to Oldest, Youngest, and First-place runners.
