What: The CivicLab and Kurth Lampe, the Chicago-based strategic communications firm, are offering the training seminar “Running For Local Office – Campaigners Training”. Attendees will get the “playbook” for planning and running a grassroots, principled campaign for local office, including relevant campaign laws and deadlines, the basics of messaging and fundraising, staffing and volunteer management, Get Out The Vote, and other tools and resources for progressive candidates.
The seminar costs $125 and includes hand-outs, a USB drive with material covered, snacks and a taco lunch. All attendees must register and pay online using EventBrite.

What: Tenth Dems is working to keep Illinois blue and asking you to volunteer for an hour or two. All you need is to bring your voice and your enthusiasm to our phone bank, or if you are more comfortable doing research or entering data on a computer, your assistance there would make just as big a difference. Any time you can give will make an impact!

What: Representative Robyn Gabel will be opening a satellite office to listen to ideas you might have about future legislation she might sponsor, answer any questions you might have about what is going on in Springfield and help you cut through the “red tape” to resolve any problems you might be having with state government. This will be an opportunity to talk one-to-one with Robyn and her staff.
