Where: Starbucks, 1050 N. Rte. 83, Mundelein

Rep. Carol Sente will hold a Coffee Shop Stop and invites members of the community to share their legislative ideas and opinions, as well as to hear updates about what is happening in Springfield. This is the last coffee in 2013, and she hopes you will take a moment to stop by to enjoy a warm beverage and discuss the issues that are of importance to you.

Events: Progressive Democrats of America-Illinois and CAPOW!: Facing Our Water Crisis

Where: Mertz Hall, 1125 Loyola St., Chicago Loyola University Lake Shore Campus

What: Progressive Democrats of America-Illinois and Citizens Act to Protect Our Water! (CAPOW!) invite you to an all-day conference to learn the latest facts concerning our area water supply, the Great Lakes, water infrastructure, fluoridation, fracking and current initiatives in use. A goal of the conference is to open communication with environmental groups, to meet face-to-face, network, and discuss ways to protect area water.

Events: Deputy Voter Registrar Training in Northbrook (Cook County residents only)

When: Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 am

Where: Northbrook Public Library, Civic Room, 1201 Cedar Ln., Northbrook

What: Want to help register new voters? Tenth Dems invites you to a Deputy Voter Registrar training seminar. This seminar is conducted by the Cook County Clerk’s office and is for Cook County residents only. There are certain requirements. You must be at least 18 years old and registered to vote in the county where the training is being held. If you live in Cook County, you need to attend a training session in Cook County. Once you are trained to register voters in the county where you live, you can register voters anywhere in Illinois.
