What: Maria Peterson and Special Guest Illinois House Majority Leader Robyn Gabel celebrate the opening of Maria’s campaign office. There will be food, lemonade, and coffee. At 11am they will start launching canvasses for those interested in helping. To RSVP, call 312.593.1886.

Where: Line up in Shiloh Park, 1619 27th St, Zion. Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart is in the last spot in the parade where he’ll get lots of attention.
What: Show your support for our great State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart by walking with him at the Zion-Benton Labor Day Parade. Under his leadership, crime is down in Lake County. Eric also strongly supports the Illinois Assault Weapons Ban and a woman’s right to choose. Walkers will receive a free Rinehart T-shirt!
When: Sunday, September 1, 2024. Line up at 11:30am. Step off at Noon
Where: Meet on Buffalo Grove Road near Thompson. Parade ends at Mike Rylko Park on Deerfield Road near Rt.83 where the rest of the Buffalo Grove Days activities are held. Slots Green 53-56
What: Show your enthusiasm for all of our Democratic candidates by walking with Democrats in the Buffalo Grove Days Parade. Wear blue if you can. If you’d like a Lake Dems t-shirt or hat, go to lakedems.org/shirts or lakedems.org/hats.

Where: Southeast Wisconsin, in areas such as Kenosha, Racine, or Burlington. We’ll gather at a Democratic Party of Wisconsin (WisDems) staging/training site before heading out to knock doors. We’ll let you know the exact gathering place a few days before. If you need a ride or can drive others, let us know when you register as we’ll have designated meeting points in Lake County for those wishing to carpool.
What: WOW! is a Lake Dems project, in conjunction with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (WisDems), to persuade voters to vote for Democrats. Knock doors and speak with voters identified as undecided or leaning Democratic. Pre-canvassing orientation and training provided by WisDems. We’ll be participating in a WisDems Weekend of Action. This is an exciting opportunity to help carry a swing state crucial to victory in November. RSVP here.
