Are you interested in serving your community? Have you ever thought about running for local office? The Tenth Congressional District Democrats and Tenth Dems University will be holding an informaitonal meeting on what offices are available to run for, what they entail, and how to win.

Current local office holders will speak about their experiences and answer your questions. Now is the time to make a difference on the local level and keep our community strong.

Preregistration is strongly recommended to reserve a seat (attendance is free). Several of our recent events have filled up and we’ve had to turn people away. To register in advance, go online or contact us.

Meet the Candidates: Robin Kelly, Candidate for Illinois State Treasurer

Robin Kelly, former State Representative of the 38th District, became the Democratic nominee for Illinois State Treasurer by winning 94 of the state’s 102 counties. While serving as a representative, she successfully sponsored legislation and pursued a progressive agenda. Robin Kelly now serves as chief of staff in the office of the Illinois State Treasurer.

All Tenth Dems University courses are free of charge and open to all. Preregistration is not required, but it is encouraged. If we reach legal room capacity, those who are not preregistered will not be admitted until we are certain that there is room for them. To register in advance, sign up below.
