The 2011 Kids Count Benefit, “Evening with the General: Investing in Our Children,” features a speaker from Mission: Readiness, a non-profit organization of retired generals and admirals dedicated to encouraging investments in the upcoming generation of American children. The event will honor State Senator Kimberly A. Lightford and WGN-TV. Musical entertainment, hot appetizers and dessert are included.
