Stevenson Center Hosts Restorative Community Court: A New Approach to Juvenile Justice

Where: The Stevenson Center on Democracy, 25200 N. St. Mary’s Rd., Mettawa (Libertyville), IL

What: A discussion of the current state of juvenile justice in Illinois with Circuit Court Judge Colleen F. Sheehan. Attendees will learn about current reforms and innovations such as the Cook County Restorative Justice Community Court.  The meeting will explore solutions regarding police and community conflict, ways to repair the harm from crime, and reducing costs associated with incarceration.
