The Fukushima Nuclear Disaster, Five Years Later – Film Screening and Panel Discussion

When: Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 8:30am – 4:45pm.

Where: Logan Center Screening Room 201, 915 E. 60th St., Chicago, IL

What: University of Chicago Center for East Asian Studies with support from the U.S. Department of Education presents a screening of two films on the Fukushima disaster followed by a panel discussion.  Panelists include: Kennette Benedict, Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, University of Chicago; Judy Hoffman, Kartemquin Films, University of Chicago; Kazu Haga, East Point Peace Academy, BASE Initiative; and Noritsugu Fujimoto, Fukushima University.

Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Free admission, but registration is required.
