Hadassah presents “Sex Trafficking Surprise: It’s in Your Community Too”

When: Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:00pm

Where: North Shore Congregation Israel, 1185 Sheridan Rd., Glencoe, IL

What: Hadassah Chicago-North Shore and other community organizations host a panel discussion on human sex trafficking.  Anita Alvarez will speak about her office’s efforts to protect juveniles and target criminals who prostitute children. Co-panelists Cara Smith, Chief Strategist for the Cook County Sheriff’s office, and sex-trafficked victim Brenda Myers-Powell will talk about their work and what can be done to help end the cycle of abuse.

Free admission, but reservations are required.  Babysitting services will be available free of charge, but please provide the ages and names of children when making your RSVP.
