On Saturday, January 23, 2016 all Democratic candidates from federal, statewide, county and local offices have been invited by the Avon Township Democrats and the Fremont Township Democrats to participate in a forum aimed at giving the residents of Avon Township and Fremont Township a better idea of who the candidates are what they stand for.
The Democratic candidates that are invited will be on the ballots in Avon Township and Fremont Township will have the chance to speak and have the opportunity for everyone in both townships to meet and greet and ask questions of the candidates for all offices. Candidates for offices of US Senator, US Representative, Comptroller, Illinois State Senator, Illinois State Representative, Lake County Circuit Court Clerk, Lake County Coroner, Lake County recorder, Lake County State’s Attorney and Lake County Board Member have been invited to speak.
With the 2016 Primary voting date of March 15, 2016 being right around the corner this will be an opportune time for residents in the Avon Township and Fremont Township areas to meet the candidates that will be in attendance. It will also give them a chance to hear from our Democratic candidates and help the Democratic community make decisions on which candidates they will be supporting in the 2016 campaigns.
Although all Democratic candidates for federal, statewide, county and local offices were invited, confirmed guests for the forum moderated by Hal Sloan; Avon Township Democrats Chair, and Matt Lowry; Fremont Township Democrats Chair, have not been confirmed as of the time of this press release. Due to the already elected officials who are re-running being part of this list some have prior engagements and meetings which that have to attend
The public is welcome to attend and the event takes place Saturday, January 23, 2016 starting at 10 a.m. at the Round Lake Public Library located at 906 Hart Road in Round Lake IL
