Courts Matter Illinois, NCJW and a Coalition of Other Groups Host “You Be the Judge,” an Evening of Insight into Judicial Thinking

When: Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 5:30 – 7:30pm

Where: The Law Offices of Much Shelist, 191 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 1800, Chicago, IL.  Parking $12 after 4pm, photo ID required.

What: Courts Matter Illinois, the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and a coalition of other groups invite you to join their legal experts in hearing real cases involving contraception, women’s economic security, and transgender civil rights.  They will vote as judges and then discuss how the courts actually ruled.  Facilitators include Debra Fitzpatrick, Director, Center on Women and Public Policy at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs; Jill Gaulding, JD, Co-Founder and Legal Director, Gender Justice and Lisa Stratton, JD, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Gender Justice.

This is a repeat of the event held Tuesday night, June 2, in Highland Park.

Registration fee: $18 includes wine, soft drinks and appetizers.
