Screening and Discussion of “Beneath the Blindfold” Film

When: Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 7:30 – 9:00 pm

Where: Wellington Avenue United Church of Christ, 615 W. Wellington Ave., Chicago

What: Percolator Films and Human Rights Watch are co-presenting “Beneath the Blindfold,” a film about four survivors of torture. A post-film discussion will be facilitated by Jerome McDonnell, WBEZ host, with a panel including Mary Fabri, former Senior Director of Heartland Alliance Marjorie Kovler Center, and two survivors of torture.

Seating is limited; pre-purchase is strongly recommended. Tickets are $12 online and $15 at the door starting at 6:00 pm. Donations benefit Marjorie Kovler Center’s services for survivors of torture and outreach efforts and are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. Metered street parking is available on retail streets and private pay lots are nearby.
