Meeting to Fill Vacancy of Illinois House District 57 Representative

Where: Northbrook Public Library, Pollak Room, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook

What: On Friday, January 5, State Representative Jonathan Carroll submitted a resignation letter effective that evening at midnight. Pursuant to Illinois law, the Democratic Committeepersons for the 57th District, specifically Northfield Township/Tracy Katz Muhl, Wheeling Township/Mark Walker, New Trier Township/Dean Maragos, and Lake County/Lauren Beth Gash, will hold a public meeting on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 7:30 pm at the Northbrook Public Library, Pollak Room. The committee will cast weighted votes to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term with a member of the Democratic Party. Democrats interested in filling the vacancy or submitting a name for consideration may email info@northfielddems.org. RSVPs are appreciated and can be made here.
