Saturday, 8/21: Covid-19 Vaccine Drive with Rep. Rita Mayfield at the Lake County Democratic Headquarters. Free vaccine drive from 2-7pm for people age 12 and up at 118 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. Hosted by State Representative Rita Mayfield in partnership with Tenth Congressional District Democrats, Lake County Democrats, Lake County Department of Public Health, and Doctor’s Test Center.
Wednesday, 8/25: Deputy Voter Registrar Training in Waukegan. Training is free and held through the County Clerk’s office. Class starts at 3pm.
Thursday, 8/26: Sen. Adriane Johnson Summer Reception. 5:30 to 7:30pm, North Shore Distillery, 13990 Rockland Road, Green Oaks.
Thursday, 8/26: Brad Schneider’s “Congress on Your Corner” in Round Lake. Address provided upon RSVP, 6-7pm. Also streamed on Facebook.

Saturday, 8/28: “Bike the Tenth” with Congressman Brad Schneider. Des Plaines River Trail. Ride is 15.1 miles long. 9am to 10:15-10:30am.

A Weekend of Celebrations
With Libertyville Days and Indian Independence Day, it was a weekend to celebrate in Lake County. The Libertyville Days parade on Saturday was amazing and the warm reception really showed how much we’ve been able to change things over the years from what was once considered a Republican stronghold to a more Democratic area. On Sunday, Congressman Brad Schneider and State Representative Dan Didech joined the Indian Independence Day celebration in Vernon Hills, commemorating India’s independence from the United Kingdom. What a great summer weekend, Democrats!
