Where: Northfield Park District Community Center Gym, northeast corner of Willow and Wagner.
What: Northfield Township Democrats meeting to select candidates for endorsement in the upcoming election. Show of hands votes will be taken for U.S. President, U.S. Senate, 10th Congressional District Representative, Cook County State’s Attorney and Cook County Court Clerk and Recorder. A 60% vote is required for a candidate to receive endorsement.
The following rules will be in place for the meeting. Anyone who has made a contribution in calendar Year 2015 is a CURRENT MEMBER. Anyone who has made a contribution between 1/1/2011 through 12/31/2014 (but not in 2015) may renew as a CURRENT MEMBER on-line at ACT BLUE-Democrats of Northfield Township, in person at the Endorsement Meeting, or by mail to Democrats of Northfield Township, 1926 Waukegan Road, Suite 310, Glenview, IL 60025.
Any Democrat who resides within Northfield Township (Glenview, Northfield, Northbrook), may join as a NEW MEMBER by sending basic dues of $50 and up ($10 and up for fixed income/seniors) by mail, through ACT BLUE and also may join at the door. (but please RSVP so we have a sense of audience size). Separate endorsement votes will be taken of: 1) CURRENT MEMBERS; and 2) a second vote of our CURRENT MEMBERS plus NEW MEMBERS. Should the two separate tallies result in different outcomes, both results will be publicized.
