What: The League of Women Voters of Illinois holds its 57th state convention, “Knowledge to Action: the League, Media and You”. Pre-convention workshops will be held Friday afternoon, June 5, from 1:45 – 5:00pm . Keynote speaker at the Saturday luncheon is Ruth Coniff, editor of The Progressive magazine. Dinner on Saturday features entertainment by the Comedy Shrine (improve group), presentation of the Carrie Chapman Catt Leadership Award and a silent auction.
Registration fees: Delegates and alternates: $125, Saturday visitor: $45, Saturday and Sunday visitor: $55. There are additional charges for food and pre-convention workshops.
