What: Senator Melinda Bush will host a foreclosure prevention workshop as an initiative of the Illinois Mortgage Relief Project (IMRP), which is a part of the Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network (IFPN) dedicated to providing information and resources that can help homeowners take advantage of programs to lower their mortgages, avoid foreclosure and keep their homes. IMRP also provides information on legal rights, credit counseling and avoiding scam artists. In addition, homeowners can also take advantage of private, one-on-one housing counseling with HUD-certified counselors during the workshop.
Homeowners interested in attending the event should bring the following documentation in order for IMRP to best serve them:
• Mortgage Statement
• 2010 & 2011 W-2 & tax return with all schedules
• Copy of rental agreement, if necessary
• 2 months of recent pay stubs
• Budget of household expenses
• Documentation of other income
• 2 months of recent bank statements
• Recent Utility Bill
• Profit/Loss, if self-employed (last 6 months)
