What: Joining a growing list of vendors at Waukegan’s ArtWauk, the monthly art event in Waukegan, the Tenth Congressional District Democrats is hosting an open house at its Community Connection office Saturday. Visit the Community Connection for light refreshments and learn about how you can support our many exciting programs. Tenth Dems is proud to be a part of ArtWauk. The Waukegan Main Street business alliance’s monthly indoor-outdoor block party celebrates Waukegan’s growing art community. Several shops and vendors participate in the downtown lakefront area surrounding the historic Genesee Theatre.
The Tenth Dems Community Connection was established in 2011 with the motto “Politics should be about more than just elections. It should be about making our communities, and our world, better places to live. We aim to live our Democratic values consistently and visibly in our community and have been hard at work, leading by example in the 10th District, with projects such as the annual High School Poetry and Prose Contest, the Teachers’ Wish List program and the weekly Job Interview Training workshops that are part of our anti-recidivism efforts.
