Shall We Gather at the River? Celebrates New Boat House

When: Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 3:00 pm

Where: Ping Tom Memorial Park, 300 W. 19th St., Chicago

What: This outdoor event is part of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s (CSO) RIVERS Festival. Members of the CSO family will board Chicago’s Leading Lady at Michigan Avenue and float to the Ping Tom Park to help dedicate a new boathouse. Enjoy live music and family activities in the park before the boat arrives. The Chicago Children’s Choir will perform and the CSO Brass will perform at 5:15 pm.

The event is free, no tickets required, and will be held rain or shine. Parking is limited and the red line is under construction. Consider taking the Chicago Water Taxi that will be running that day, arriving at Ping Tom Park every 15 minutes.
