What: The RIVERS Festival Symposia will explore the physical, economic, political, and cultural forces exerted by rivers through a sequence of conversations and music. Using the Mississippi and the Amazon as case studies, the discussion will highlight the interdependent relationship between music, art and rivers. Panels of historians, artists and engineers will present three conversations, each followed by performances of music finding its origin in rivers.
