When: Friday, March 22, 2013 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Where: State of Illinois James R. Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph St., Chicago
What: A rally to support a moratorium on fracking in Illinois to protect the environment and the residents of Illinois will take place in Chicago. Fracking in Illinois could start with the next few months without pushback. Southern Illinois and the Shawnee National Forest are in immediate danger. The rally will engage in the creative action of putting larger than life caution tape around the Thompson Center to show that fracking will turn Illinois into a toxic mess.
