Annual Clarence Darrow Commemoration at the Jackson Park Lagoon

When: Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Wreath-tossing at 10:00 am, Symposium 10:45 am – 12:00 pm

Where: The Jackson Park Lagoon, Hyde Park. The Darrow Bridge is behind the Museum of Science and Industry. You may park near the OmniMax Theater and walk south to the bridge. Parking is only free by the bridge. The Symposium takes place in the Museum of Science and Industry, in the NEW Columbian Room. Beverages and rolls will be served.

What: The 2013 Clarence Darrow symposium, “The Bridge to Darrow: Labor and Race Relations Today,” will explore where we are 75 years after Darrow’s death on two critical issues he cared deeply about. The program features labor attorney and author Tom Geoghegan and Law Professor Juan Perea, who teaches and writes in the areas of race and race relations, among other areas of expertise.
