What: You are invited to a dialogue on “Why Your Property Tax Bill Is So Long: Illinois and its Many Local Governments.” This month we will discuss the fact that Illinois has more local governments — by far — than any other state. Panelists speaking are Patrick Carey, Cook County Bureau of Economic Development; Dr. Norman Durflinger, Director, Center for the Study of Education Policy, College of Education, Illinois State University and President, Village of Morton; and Emily Miller, Policy and Government Affairs Coordinator, Better Government Association.
