Location: Meet at the top of the stairs leading to the beach. Take the trail from the parking lot to the meeting place. The entrance to Fort Sheridan Forest preserve is on Sheridan Road at Old Elm Road and Simonds Way. Enter on Simonds Way, left on Leonard Wood Dr. North, left on Gilgare Ln. to parking area.

As part of the Alliance for the Great Lake’s September Adopt-a-Beach Event, this effort is led by Lake County Forest Preserve Commissioner Anne Flannigan Bassi, Jonathan Schlesinger, Plants of Concern, and Charla Reinganum, Highland Park League of Women Voters. Come for as long as you can and bring your own work gloves and drinking water, if possible. Supplies will be available if you are unable to bring them.
