Equal Pay Day, April 17, represents when a woman’s wages catch up to a man’s from December 31 of the previous year–108 days later!
The average working woman earns just 77 cents to the average man’s dollar. Equal work deserves equal pay!
The Equal Pay Day rally is sponsored by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; Women’s Bureau, U.S. Department of Labor; Illinois Department of Human Rights; Illinois Department of Labor; and many civic organizations. Look for Chicago Equal Pay Movement on Facebook!
