“We the People” is a progressive umbrella organization in which groups come together to work on shared goals such as overturning Citizens United, getting corporate money out of elections and encouraging qualified, honest candidates to run for office. You’re invited to learn about the “We the People” agenda, enjoy some refreshments, and leave knowing you can work on what is important to you while keeping on the pressure to overturn Citizens United. Early Voting in Illinois from Monday, February 27 – Thursday, March 15, 2012

Cook County: Check back later for times and locations.

Lake County: Registered voters can locate early voting sites, download a map and print driving directions. Illinois law requires early voters to present a government-issued photo identification card. A preview of the official ballot is available online approximately 40 days before the election.

If Voting by Mail In Illinois, You Must Apply for Your Ballot

In Person: February 9, 2012 is the first day to apply in person at your County Clerk’s Office.

By Mail: To receive a Lake County application for ballot by mail, call 847-377-2406.

Cook County Clerk’s Office: Click here for form, phone number and to choose your preferred language.

Illinois law now requires those voting by mail to complete an application for each election before receiving a ballot. Feb. 9 is the first day to file in person.
