If Voting by Mail In Illinois, You Must Apply for Your Ballot
In Person: February 9, 2012 is the first day to apply in person at your County Clerk’s Office.
By Mail: To receive a Lake County application for ballot by mail, call 847-377-2406.

Illinois law now requires those voting by mail to complete an application for each election before receiving a ballot. Feb. 9 is the first day to file in person.
