Jewish Council on Urban Affairs Holds Sukkot Action for Housing Justice in Chicago

Location: 4:00, Meet at SE corner of Michigan and Randolph Aves.; 4:15. March to Hyatt Regency, 151 E. Wacker and construct sukkkah; 4:45, Interfaith press conference; 5:15, testimonies in the sukkah about the impact of the housing and economic crisis.

Join the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs in this action that addresses the housing crisis in Chicago and Cook County, where 500 families fall into foreclosure and are displaced from their homes in an average month. Sukkot is an opportunity to follow through on the commitments to justice made on Yom Kippur.
