Illinois House Bill 14 (Amendment 1) has been introduced in Springfield. It would enable Illinois to make major investments in its electric grid over the next decade. By creating a policy framework to reform electric utility regulation, it would pave the way for badly needed energy infrastructure investment. Consumers are already saving money by using smart meters and real-time pricing, but modernization contained in this bill will bring jobs, business growth and expansion, and more customer savings to Illinois.
