Budgeting for Outcomes (BFO) was introduced last year, putting the budgeting authority back into the hands of the individual legislators instead of the Governor and Legislative Leaders. The Appropriation Committees are meeting in Springfield this week to discuss the state’s budget and your input is crucial to ensuring the success of this new budgeting method. BFO has dramatically altered the old business-as-usual system. Your participation in setting new priorities for the state is encouraged.
