Book Bank Work Day in Lake Forest Prepares for Kid’s First Health Fair
Date: Saturday, April 30, 2011
Time: 9:00 – 11:00 am
Location: Ernie’s Book Bank (warehouse), 28101 Ballard Ave., Unit A, Lake Forest
Contact: A volunteer project of U CANN2, call Sam Piro at 847-732-6764 or send an email for questions or more information.
U CANN2 will sort books on the last Saturday of every month, packing them into bags of six books each. When the Kids First Health Fair takes place in August, in addition to immunizations and health screenings for limited-income families, school supplies and books are given as incentives for children who complete their medical needs. Light duty work but rewarding for those who volunteer.
