Defend the American Dream! March in Chicago’s “We Are One” Rally

Date: Saturday, April 9, 2011

Time: 12:00 noon. Departure location is at Clark and Washington.

Location: Rally will take place at 1:00 pm in Daley Plaza.

Contact: Call Tenth Dems at 847-266-VOTE (8683) to join a group to take the train into Chicago.

April 4 is the anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. assassinated as he joined striking sanitation workers demanding their dream – the right to bargain collectively for a better life. Those who marched in rallies in Wisconsin are part of an unbroken chain. During the week of April 4, rallies will be held in cities across Illinois, culminating in an all-Illinois rally in Chicago. Be a part of the march, stand up against unbridled corporate power.

Rally is hosted by the Chicago Federation of Labor and the Illinois AFL-CIO.
