Francisco Mendoza has taught elementary school art for over 25 years. In April, 2010, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and began cancer treatment. He was laid off the following September and lost not only his job but his healthcare benefits. A Fiesta and Silent Auction organized by artists, teachers, former students, and members of the community will raise funds to help pay for his medical and living expenses.

Donations of art are encouraged for the auction. Please call Miriam Socoloff at 773-878-6669 to make arrangements. For more information about Francisco Mendoza, please contact James Larralde at 312-543-5893.
