Discounted tickets are available for the Chicago premiere of “Countdown to Zero.” The film will be shown 12 times over the weekend, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This stunning documentary about the nuclear threat was produced by Academy Award winner Lawrence Bender (“An Inconvenient Truth”; “Inglorious Basterds”). Based on this first weekend’s attendance, the film’s promoters will decide how extensively to distribute it. The North Suburban Peace Initiative and Physicians for Social Responsibility in Chicago have joined forces to ensure that the theater is filled for all showings.
