Mental Health America of Illinois (MHAI) First Speaker Series Luncheon

When: Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 11:30am to 1:00pm

Where: Hull House, 800 S. Halsted St., Chicago, IL

What: A luncheon presentation featuring Dr. Nneka Jones Tapia, Executive Director of the Cook County Department of Corrections.  Dr. Tapia is believed to be the first clinical psychologist or psychiatrist to lead a major jail or prison in the US.  Her talk will focus on both advocacy and decreasing the stigma surrounding mental illness to work for a brighter future.

When: Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 1:00 – 6:00pm

Where: Tenth Dems Community Connection Office, 118 N. Genesee St., Waukegan

What: A phone banking event in support of Bernie Sanders.

Volunteers are asked to bring a laptop/tablet, cell phone and charger.

Tenth Dems does not intend to make endorsements in the Democratic primaries, but offers the occasional use of office space to all Democratic candidates and affinity groups.

Bernie Sanders Phone Bank in Waukegan

When: Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 2:00 – 5:00pm

Where: Tenth Dems Community Connection Office, 118 N. Genesee St., Waukegan

What: A phone banking event in support of Bernie Sanders.

Volunteers are asked to bring a laptop/tablet, cell phone and charger.

Tenth Dems does not intend to make endorsements in the Democratic primaries, but offers the occasional use of office space to all Democratic candidates and affinity groups.
