Tenants’ Rights Training

When: Saturday, October 17, 2015.  Resource fair: 9:00am;  program: 9:30 – 11:00am

Where: Highland Park High School, 433 Vine Ave., Highland Park, IL.  The Commons (enter through library doors, west parking lot).

What: Highland Park – Highwood Legal Aid Clinic presents a rights training session for renters and landlords.  Topics include: when to call local government and when an attorney is needed; housing ordinances; avoiding eviction; keeping the security deposit, and tenants’ rights.  Speakers include the Building Inspector of Highland Park, the Open Communities Landlord Tenant Rights specialist and an attorney from the HP Highwood Legal Aid Clinic.
