Tenth Dems was proud to support the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month. We walked with candidates and elected officials in parades in Waukegan, Buffalo Grove, and Grayslake. Tenth Dems also staffed a table at Lake County PrideFest in Round Lake Beach, the largest LGBTQ+ gathering in Lake County. No matter where we were, Tenth Dems felt a tremendous amount of energy from the positive, enthusiastic crowds.
This set of events was fun and poignant — people are vilified for who they are and rights are under attack seemingly everyday. It’s up to all of us to stand up for what’s right in the face of those trying to take our country backward. Tenth Dems helped play a role in our area during Pride Month, and we’ll continue to make our voices heard the rest of the calendar as well.
