Petition Drive for Sam Yingling in Round Lake Beach

Sam needs to collect 1,500 signatures to have his name appear on the ballot and he asks your help. The campaign has organized shifts and set a goal of 500 signatures for each shift. If you can make it, it would help them reach their goal this weekend.

Literary Witches at Waukegan’s Ray Bradbury Storytelling Festival

Professional performers will portray literary witches from Macbeth to Wicked and beyond, including a bilingual telling of the tragic “La Llorona”. The Campaign for Better Health Care will gather for a day of advocacy in Springfield. This is the last group opportunity this year to be seen and heard in Springfield. Vans leave at 7:00 am from 1325 S. Wabash and from Trinity Church, 400 W. 95th St. in Chicago. Lunch will be provided.
