What: The Adlai Stevenson Center on Democracy hosts a panel discusson on the need for further regulation of railroads and other practices to protect community safety. Panelists are: Gerri Songer, educator, local activist and Legislative Director of Northwest Suburban Teachers Union Local 1211 IFT-AFT; and Mark Burrows, a retired Canadian Pacific Railroad engineer and an active member of SMART/TD, formerly United Transportation Union, now fighting for improved safety with Railroad Workers United.
