Next Up in Tenth Dems U: “Clean Energy” and “Political Fraud”

We’re really excited about three upcoming Tenth Dems U events for August—and two of them have been approved for CLE credits for lawyers.

On Tuesday, August 4, at 7:00 pm, Rachel Bitecofer, the author and political prognosticator who gained fame for her nearly perfect predictions for the 2018 elections, will discuss what she thinks will happen in 2020 and why. RSVP online for “What’s Going to Happen in November?” with Rachel Bitecofer.

On Sunday, August 9, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sierra Club Illinois’s Deputy Director Kady McFadden will discuss the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA-HB3624/SB2321) and how Illinois can move forward 100% clean energy legislation in this moment in time. RSVP online for “How Can Illinois Move to a 100% Clean Energy Future?” with Sierra Club’s Kady McFadden. CLE credit available for attorneys.

On Wednesday, August 12, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Northwestern Law Professor Marty Redish, among the most frequently cited legal scholars in the country, will discuss whether the First Amendment protects the use of knowingly false speech to achieve a political goal. RSVP online for “Political Fraud and the First Amendment: Does the Constitution Protect Lies?” with Constitutional Law Professor Marty Redish. CLE credit available for attorneys.

Hope to see you at Tenth Dems University in August!
