Notary Night, Legal Look-over, and Petition Collection

WHEN: Monday, November 18; 6:30 to 8:30 PM

WHERE: Lake County Federation of Teachers Hall, 248 Ambrogio Drive, Gurnee

WHAT: An opportunity for Democratic activists, candidates, and precinct committeepeople to bring in petitions to be notarized, checked, and/or turned in. Notaries public will be on hand, as well as lawyers who can check petitions. You also can turn in your notarized petitions that are ready for our candidates.

Don’t have petitions? That’s OK. Come see grassroots politics in action. Chat with like-minded Democrats. Hear a little bit about what it means to be a precinct committeeperson or a grassroots activist. This isn’t just talk and it’s not scary — it’s the nuts and bolts of electing more public officials who share our values. Of course, we want them on the ballot, and they need valid petitions for that. That’s what the night is all about.

Any Democrats interested in taking a more active role in the 2020 elections are invited. If you can bring snacks or drinks, please let us know.

Sponsored by Tenth Dems, Sixth Dems, Fourteenth Dems, and Lake County Democrats.

Hope to see you there!
